The Client
IEVA represents independently owned vaping companies and national trade associations in EU policy-making processes. Their members are not tobacco companies. These are primarily small or medium-sized enterprises that help smokers who cannot or do not want to quit make better choices by reducing risks.
Brief
IEVA wanted an information and presentation site about vaping for both its own shareholders and various politicians where those people could quickly and easily find out what vaping is, the legislation behind it in the European Union, as well as data and myth busting.
The Challenge
The main problem raised in the display of chapters on the main page and their visibility on the first screen. The first idea was a slider to present the chapters, but the traditional slide does not display the content/title of each slide for direct access. The solution we propose is an accordion slider where the chapters are color-coded, visible at all times and directly accessible by click. The website built in 10 European languages further complicates the execution, given the use of non-Latin characters, such as the Greek or Cyrillic alphabet.
The Result
The website with data about vaping satisfies the initial requirements, gathering in the first window the 6 important data categories, both on desktop and mobile. The design breaks the monotony of explanatory texts through a bold layout, accompanied by a rich visual environment of explanatory and mood images for a more pleasant experience in interacting with the website.
