The Client

IEVA represents independently owned vaping companies and national trade associations in EU policy-making processes. Their members are not tobacco companies. They are primarily small or medium sized businesses helping smokers who cannot or do not want to quit make better choices through harm reduction.

The Brief

IEVA wanted a site for information and presentation of vaping both for its own shareholders and for various politicians where those people can find out quickly and easily about what is vaping, the legislation behind it in the European Union, as well as data and dismantling myths.

The Challenge

The main issue raised in the display of chapters on the main page and their visibility on the first screen. The first idea was a slider to present the chapters, but the traditional slide does not expose the content / title of each slide for direct access. The solution we propose is an accordion slider where the chapters are chromatically coded, visible all the time and accessible directly by clicking. The website, built in 10 European languages, further complicates the execution, given the use of non-Latin characters, such as the Greek or Cyrillic alphabets.

The Result

The website with data about vaping meets the initial requirements, gathers all the 6 categories of important data in the first window, both on desktop and mobile. The design breaks the monotony of the explanatory texts through a bold layout, accompanied by a rich visual environment of explanatory and mood images for a more pleasant experience in the interaction with the website.
